Privacy policy
VEO, based in Cameroon, acts as the Data Controller for the VEO PRO mobile application. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Law No. 2024/017 on the protection of personal data in Cameroon.
This policy describes how we process your data in connection with the use of VEO PRO, the tool intended for authorized points of sale for the automated validation of Canal+ subscriptions.
- The Data We Collect and Purpose
We adhere to the principle of data minimization, collecting only the information necessary to provide the service.
A. Identification and Contact Data
We collect the operator’s last name, first name, the trading name of the point of sale, email address, and telephone number. This data is essential to manage your user account, authenticate your authorization, and communicate with you regarding the service.
B. Transaction and Service Data
For the core of the service, we collect transaction information, including the Canal+ subscriber number, the validated plan, the amount, the date and time of the transaction, and the decoder serial number. This information is used exclusively for the execution and automatic validation of subscriptions with our partner Canal+.
C. Technical and Usage Data
We record your IP address, device type, and activity logs. This data is used to secure the application, prevent fraud, and ensure the proper technical operation of the service, which constitutes a legitimate interest for VEO. We may also collect geolocation if strictly required by the terms of approval and if you have enabled it.
- Legal Basis and Retention Period
The processing of your data is primarily based on the execution of the contract between VEO and your point of sale.
Your data is retained for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes. Account data is retained for as long as the authorization is active, then archived in accordance with legal limitation periods (for example, for accounting evidence or in the event of a dispute). Security logs are retained for a short period to ensure the security of the application.
